Our Story
We are what we call ‘older’-preneurs! We had toyed with becoming self-employed for many years through our working lives, but never plucked up the courage to make the jump.
Before Covid we built a double garage and garden cottage on our property, to increase its value and to have a go at short term rentals. Covid hit just after we had completed the work, who knew! No jobs and (with no-one travelling) no short term rentals either. Now what?
We came to the conclusion that now we had to make a leap of faith! Combining our resources and skills, (such as our backgrounds, our physical space and our practical skills) with our desire to open new horizons for ourselves and take control of our future we established Crossley Vintage Finds, using our new cottage as a showroom.
Crossley Vintage Finds fits with our need to be stimulated, motivated and excited about what we do every day i.e. finding special things that we can share with like-minded people. We subscribe to the idea of lifelong learning and having a solid work ethic, as well as finding the right people to partner with us on our ‘older’-preneur journey.
Our mission therefore, is to provide a friendly, personal service to all our customers looking for an eclectic mix of furniture and decor to choose from, when beautifying their homes.
As Crossley Vintage Finds goes from strength to strength, in a new space on our property and Covid restrictions fade into history, we have been able to open our cottage for short term stays. Take a look at The Cottage.
